Robert S. Wistrich is the Jewish Chronicle Professor of Jewish Studies at University
College, London and holds the Neuberger Chair of modern European history at the Hebrew University
of Jerusalem.
He is the author of many books including The Jews of Vienna in the Age of Franz Joseph
(OUP 1989), which won the Austrian State Prize for History; Antisemitism: The Longest Hatred
(Methuen 1991), which was awarded the Wingate prize in the UK; Terms of Survival: The Jewish
World Since 1945 (Routledge 1995) and most recently Weekend in Munich: Art, Propoganda and Terror
(Pavillion Press 1995). He was the historical consultant to the Channel 4 documentary Good
Morning, Mr Hitler!
