Orthogonal Rotation
The material on this web site no doubt raises many questions about procedures of data collection and the way in which the data were analyzed. Many statistical techniques were used, including a variety of univariate and bivariate statistics; tests of significance; analysis of variance; multiple, polynomial, and nonlinear regression; and canonical analysis. But most basic to many of the analyses were the simple product moment correlation coefficient and factor (or component) analysis. Accordingly, I have put in one place here my methodological works on understanding correlation and factor analysis, and also on the procedures and approaches I used in collecting and interpreting the democide or conflict data. Some of this material is also located elsewhere on this site as it fits in with a particular theme.
